World’s First Boeing 737-800NG Combi Aircraft

Air Inuit is proud to introduce a world first: the conversion of a Boeing 737-800 Next Generation into a Combi configuration with a fixed cargo bulkhead, purpose-built for northern operations.

This innovative aircraft combines increased cargo capacity with a fully redesigned passenger cabin featuring 90 seats complemented by the large overhead bins, and optimized lighting that adapts to each phase of travel. The aircraft cabin is also certified for the installation of a medical stretcher for lay-down patient travel. The inflight internet streaming is powered by Starlink’s high-speed and low-latency product.

Designed and modified through a close collaboration with KFAero, this aircraft underwent an extensive retrofit program including a cargo door and liner installation, a class B main deck cargo area, full rear cabin reconfiguration and multiple system modifications.

Developed for the realities of Nunavik, this world-first conversion advances safe, flexible, and efficient air service for the communities who rely on us every day.
