Nunavik flight restrictions related to COVID-19

You will find below the specific prevention measures applicable to the communities currently on Red Alert Level, as decided by the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services

  • Regular flights to and from Ivujivik resumed on October 19th, 2021.
  • Please take note that only essential travels are authorized.
  • Before booking: Those who want to travel by charter or regular flight to or from Ivujivik (for essential purposes) must apply for travel authorization by calling 1- 888-662-7482.
  • When essential travels are permitted, precautions will apply to all travelers leaving Ivujivik: screening test before boarding, quarantine for 10 days for people who are not fully vaccinated and screening test at day 5 after arrival to another community.
  • No quarantine or screening tests are required for those returning home to Ivujivik from another community within Nunavik.

As directed by the NRBHSS, all passenger flights in and out of Kangirsuk are cancelled until Monday October 25, 2021, inclusively. Flights will resume on Tuesday, October 26.

Essential services such as medical and cargo flights will be maintained.
